Flavor of the Week: Weber's Citrus Herb Seasoning
by D. Smith
This week's Flavor of the Week is... Weber's Citrus Herb Seasoning. I stumbled across this seasoning recently and it's a real winner. Imagine sweet citrus juice, meets dried herb, meets sea salt. It's amazing... I can imagine this sacred blend on everything, including fresh vegetables, fish, steak and poultry.
I tried it with fresh salmon to compare it to lemon pepper and it is literally in a different category. The combination of flavors was PERFECT! The sweet yet salty, almost comparable to a tangerine flavor was the perfect complement to the already great taste of salmon. I'm a salmon roll lover no soy sauce so I'm a really big fan of salmon, and this is now my favorite salmon seasoning.
I also had fresh broccoli and I sprinkled a little on there as well and it wasn't bad, although I prefer my broccoli with no seasoning. However, I will be honest, it's so good I sprinkled some into a paper towel to nibble on while writing this. As funny as it sounds, there are few seasonings that I could enjoy right out of the bottle... this is absolutely one of them.
Weber's Citrus Herb Season is a true winner and has truly earned a place among my favorites. This is definitely one to try!
