These scrumptious Mexi-inspired healthy wraps are both economical and extremely easy to prepare and store. They are high in protein, with the perfect blend of fats, without a heavy carbohydrate load... So they are perfect for lunch on a busy day or just before or after working out.
Ground Turkey (2 lb pack)
1 Red Onion
1 Medium Avocado
Premade Fresh Pico Salsa
OLE Mexican Foods Xtreme Wellness! 8 Inch Whole Wheat Tortillas
Preparation: Chop 1/2 of a medium red onion and two "handfuls" of kale. Partially brown your ground turkey, stirring frequently and adding chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and sea salt while browning. Once meat is partially brown add kale and onions and continue to stir frequently until brown. Add additional seasoning as needed until you reach desired flavor, as I've found some people like a heavy spicy chili flavor, while others perfect a mild chili garlic flavor.
Once your turkey is brown and the desired flavor is reached remove from heat. Slice your avocado in cubes or wedges, which ever you prefer and remove one OLE Mexican Foods Xtreme Wellness! 8 Inch Whole Wheat Tortilla from the packaging. These are small but fairly durable wraps available at most grocery stores. Fill tortilla with a 1/2 cup to full cup of ground turkey mix. Top with 1/2 avocado slices or cubes and 1 - 2 table spoons of pre-made pico de gallo salsa available in most grocery stores' deli or fresh vegetable section. Wrap and eat. It's that simple and yes they are tasty! Give them a try!
